Mirco Hilgers has practiced in the field of Chilean mining law since the beginning of his career as a lawyer, having worked with the most prestigious mining companies in Chile and abroad.

His experience covers the entire scope of Chilean mining law from the incorporation of the mining property, its protection and maintenance, including strategic partnerships, joint ventures, option, lease and sale agreements, and the whole variety of transactions required from ore extraction to processing, smelting and sale. He periodically publishes opinion columns in specialized mining media.

Mr. Hilgers is a graduate from the Universidad de Chile and Master in Business Law from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.

He is a partner in the Energy, Mining and Infrastructure area of the Santiago Office of Baker & McKenzie in Chile.
